History of Roulette
The casino game of roulette literally translated means "spinning wheel" which in itself gives a good indication of what the game is essentially about. Roulette is the oldest and debatably the simplest casino game still being played today in casinos around the world. Gambling in one form or another dates back to as far as 500BC, when the Romans are said to have participated in gambling.
Roulette was developed initially by a French Mathematics student Blaise Pascal, in the 17th Century. The idea behind the game did not reach England or the rest of Europe until approximately 1820, but when it did finally make an appearance, there was no turning back, and it cemented its place in traditional and modern casino culture. To this day, it appears that every continent housing casinos seems to have its own slight variation on rules of roulette than other countries.
